If you read About - DIY Finances, you will know that one topic I want to explore is real estate investing. In further pursuing this goal, I signed up for a 2-hour course at my local high school.

The course is called ‘How to Purchase Rental Properties’.

Here is the blurb from the catalogue:

“So you keep hearing what a hot real estate market we’re in and you want to profit as well, then this seminar is for you. Workshop covers how to come up with a down payment for rental property, some of the advantages and disadvantages to owning multiple property and some of the CMHC rules that you need to follow as well as how to protect yourself when the real estate market goes down.”

The cost was $22.47. If I can learn something useful, it will be well worth the small fee.

The course is tomorrow night. I’ll write up a review of how it went.
